The Suspicious Housekeeper







     The Suspicious Housekeeper is an overwhelming drama that would soften the hearts of the viewers. This Korean drama is a melodramatic one about family healing process and building their bonds once again. Starring Choi Ji-woo as Park Bok-nyeo a woman who serves as the housekeeper of the Gyeol family, Lee Sung-jae as Eun Sang-chul the man who is the head of the Gyeol family, Wang Ji-hye as Yoon Song-hwa the woman who had an affair with Eun Sang-chul and Kim So-hyun as the eldest sister of the family. You’ll tend to be more curious as to why the housekeeper acts that why. The family seems to be in turmoil because of the sudden truth that was being spoken and revealed.

      The Gyeol family experienced a sudden death and a sad truth about their mother being completely gone in their arms. This brought devastation to the four kids and the question keeps running in their mind that why their mother did left suddenly leaving them behind and they kept on wondering if she wasn’t thinking about them when she was committing suicide. A confession was made by their father that he had an affair that’s why their mother committed suicide. Leaving the children confused and angered by the bitter truth they blamed and disowned their father. This dilemma will then bring some unexpected events and more intriguing events.

     Miss Bok-nyeo, as how they would address their housekeeper is a really uncanny one. She is very known for a very fine work when it comes to housekeeping and all sorts of things. What’s odd about her is that she never smiles, she does every order you’ll say like literally, and she has this personality you can compare to a robot or even a living corpse. Because of these bizarre personalities she has the four kids including their father suspects her identity and grows more curious as to who she really is. The four siblings wanted to seek comfort and guidance to her but then again she would just coldly refuse and say it is not her matter to enter with.

     You really don’t have to judge a person with its cover because you never know what they have gone through to be the person they are today.  Unexpectedly, the person you never rely on becomes the pillar and the support of everyone. A family can and may experience hurdles in life but it doesn’t mean that your family is not worth fighting for. A broken family can be mended for as long as everyone has the heart to forgive and start again. With this drama, essential family lessons will be taught and it will move your heart and change your perspective in dealing similar ordeals.

     The Korean Drama entitled as Master’s Sun was written by the Hong sisters from South Korea.  People who are fond of watching horror would likely to enjoy this drama series and in addition it is also a romantic-comedy drama that would surely exceed your expectations. Starring So Ji-sub as Joo Joong-won who is a guy that owns the department store ‘Kingdom’, Gong Hyo-jin as Tae Gong-sil who is a girl who can see ghosts, Seo In-guk as Kang Woo who is a guy that would be the head of the security in the department store and lastly Kim Yoo-ri as Tae Yi-ryung who constalntly looks down on Tae Gong-sil our protagonist. Joo Joong-won is as cold as a glacier and is a parsimonious CEO who meets Tae Gong-sil a woman who is gloomy and peculiar in a rainy evening. Tae Gong-sil who was standing at the side of the street thumbing for a ride was nearly ignored by Joo Joong-won who was inside the car but then a bright light suddenly showed up making the car stop.

     When the wound is still open because you can’t forget it, it’s like rubbing salt in it which makes you feel the pain more.  When you’ve experienced and witnessed your loved one die in front of your eyes would probably bring trauma and distress to you. Joo Joong-won (So Ji-sub) faced a very depressing past. Aside his past owning an extravagant shopping mall made him calculative and arrogant. Everything relates to him in terms of money.

     Tae Gong-sil was involved in an accident few years back. This incident changed her whole life in an instant and it made her unable to live a normal life. A person who has the ability to see and hear ghosts would make your intuition conclude to stay away from that person. Living in a rooftop and earning money through doing odd jobs inside the building where she stays. On that rainy evening it was fate which made way for the two to meet and she realized that when she’s near Joo Joong-won all the ghost disappears so therefore she made a decision to work at Kingdom.

     This drama is not just like any other dramas which focus on the love story between the lovers but rather it also shows other’s story. The ability that of Tae Gong-sil’s was the key in helping the souls solve their problems left in our world. She was also able to aid the wound that remained in Joo Joong-won’s heart. In this story you’ll be able to realize that the courage to love someone and to let them know how you feel is essential in a relationship. A storm may continue to show up in your life but there’s always that special someone who becomes the sunlight when the storm ends.

Flower Boy Ramyun Shop



        
       The Korean drama ‘Flower Boy Ramen Shop’ is a romantic comedy about four “pretty boys” that operates a ramen shop together with a girl. The main characters are Yang Eun-bi (Lee Chung-ah) the 25 year old girl who’s studying to be a teacher, Cha Chi-soo (Jung Il-woo) is the only son of the owner and the president of a food conglomerate called Chasung, Choi Kang-hyuk (Lee Ki-woo) the guy who inherited the ramen shop from Yang Eun-bi’s father, Kim Ba-wool (Park Min-woo) is the guy who is also called as the crazy chicken and Jo Yoon-woo (Woo Hyun-woo) is the guy who has the personality of an angel. Together they work and flourish the shop with their charisma and personality. But the difference of their social statuses, Cha Chi-soo and the rest, becomes the root of their misunderstandings and feud. It is in the end that makes them realize the sacrifices and pain Cha Chi-soo faced and felt.


       When maturity strikes humanity money comes first on the list. Everything that keeps the world living and spinning is money. Cha Chi-soo is someone who grew in a cold environment and having everything without facing any hard work to earn his wealth, he is someone who doesn’t know anything about reality and its warmness. Time came, something he truly desires which is someone he loves, can’t be bought by money. That’s when he realizes money isn’t everything.


       Cha Chi-soo meets the strong girl Yang Eun-bi in peculiar circumstances. After bumping into her for several times he innocently didn’t knew he was hit by one of Cupid’s arrows. He curiously asks Yoon-woo his friend what he feels and describes it to him. He couldn’t believe that he felt those kinds of feelings because he didn’t feel that way before. However he has come to realize that he felt that his heart was boiling whenever he sees her and confessed he was in love.


     At the end of the final episode the voiceover of Kang-hyuk says, “Other things don’t really matter. Ramen just tastes best when it’s eaten at the moment it’s boiling over.” The ramen represents the heart of a person. Just when they realize that it’s boiling it is better to follow your heart rather than what your mind thinks. It is then they feel no regret and love just overflows within them. Love makes people rich because it fills their hearts with joy and happiness.
